XPS-ProMail System Operations 4-24-14.doc
TB-659 Conveyor Setup
The conveyor provides additional drying time and an area to
stack/accumulate the media for easy removal.
Up to three TB-659 conveyors can be “daisy chained” to run in
series. See “XPS-ProMail System Installation Guide” for TB-659
connection information.
Note: The speed of adjacent conveyors will vary, base on load
and ease of belt movement. It is NOT possible to speed
synchronize series connected conveyors.
See the “Optional Accessories” section for Dryer and Drop Tray
Options.
Height Adjust:
The height of the conveyor table should be set so it is about an
inch or two below the output height of the XPS-ProMail Base or
XPS-ProDry Base. Two people are required to safely adjust the
height of the conveyor as follows:
1. While an assistant holds the weight of one end of the
conveyor; loosen the large knob, which is located on the
conveyor leg.
2. Raise or lower the conveyor to the desired height.
3. Secure the knob.
4. Repeat for other end/leg.
Power:
The TB-659’s power cord plugs into the outlet labeled “conveyor”, located on the back of the
XPS-ProMail Base. The power to the conveyor is controlled using the “CONVEYOR POWER
Switch”, located on the XPS-ProMail Base. See the “XPS-ProMail System Installation Guide” for
details on “daisy chaining” conveyors (using up to three TB-659 conveyors).
Emergency Stop Control:
An emergency stop button is located on the operator side of the conveyor. Pressing this button
will cause the entire XPS-ProMail system to stop/shut down.
Release this button by turning it clockwise. Then restart the system.
NOTE: If you are using a TB-690 conveyor; pressing the Emergency Stop button on the
conveyor will only stop the conveyor. It will NOT stop/shut down the entire XPS-ProMail System.
Speed Control:
The speed of the TB-659 is controlled using the “CONVEYOR SPEED dial”, located on the
XPS-ProMail Base.
When using the standard angled back-stop; the conveyor speed should be set to provide an
overlap between adjacent pieces of media, as they drop onto the conveyor.
If the optional drop/catch tray is installed, media overlap is not necessary.
